remain single or be married?

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable,
or get married and wish you were dead.

At a cocktail party, one woman said to another,
'Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?'
'Yes, I am. I married the wrong man.'

A lady inserted an ad in the classifieds:
'Husband Wanted'.
Next day she received a hundred letters.
They all said the same thing:
'You can have mine.'

When a woman steals your husband,
there is no better revenge than to let her keep him.

A woman is incomplete until she is married. Then she is finished.

A little boy asked his father:
'Daddy, how much does it cost to get married?'
Father replied: 'I don't know son, I'm still paying.'

A young son asked:
'Is it true Dad, that in some parts of Africa a man doesn't know his wife until he marries her?'
Dad replied: 'That happens in every country, son.'

Then there was a woman who said:
'I never knew what real happiness was until I got married, and by then, it was too late.'

Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence.

If you want your spouse to listen and pay strict attention to every word you say -- talk in your sleep.

Just think, if it weren't for marriage, men would go through life thinking they had no faults at all.

First guy says: 'My wife's an angel!'
Second guy remarks: 'You're lucky, mine's still alive.'

'A Woman's Prayer:
Dear Lord, I pray for: Wisdom, To understand a man , to Love and to
forgive him , and for patience, For his moods. Because Lord, if I pray for
Strength I'll just beat him to death'

Sleep

Sleep is the one thing that my body has been severely deprived of. since i was child i had trouble sleeping at night. and because of that i have very obvious dark circles around my big eyes. someone told me in the past my dark circles are definitely not flaws as they somehow enhance my beauty. i felt better hearing that. my mum called me the other day and told me about an article in reader's digest about the power of sleep. she gave me the issue about a month ago which i haven't had the time to read until today. i got home two days ago and then yesterday she gave me a hard cover book which is a more detailed version of the article. it is 'Sleep to be Sexy, Smart and Slim. i have just finished with the introduction since i have been very busy playing Sims 2. there's a test in the book to help you identify your sleep style. i am the Day Dreamer. when others are talking my mind always wanders off. i could happily sit on a beach for an hour or more. if stuck in traffic, i am more likely to listen to music or daydream. according to the book, lack of sleep is the main reason why it is so hard to lose weight and on top of that it also makes you gain weight as it increases your appetite. the best way is for us to make sure we have at least 8 hours sleep and sleep at around the same time every night and wake up at around the same time every morning.

zzZZzzzzzzZzzz...

I'm super sleepy but I have 16 more cases to summarise! if I wasn't too 'busy' playing and wasting time during the day I am sure I would have finished summarising all the cases by now. =(

Meeting one of my fav. judges

I had been very busy lately. i barely had enough time to check my email and print lecture notes. i was the public relation committee of the 'in person with Dato' Gopal Sri Ram' programme which was held last tuesday. i was so excited to meet him. it was like a mini tutorial and he pointed to students(audience) to answer questions. it was very motivating and full of energy and of course very inspiring. he is very passionate of law just like the late Prof. Ahmad Ibrahim. when he was asked about his controversial remarks on the quality of local grads, he pointed out that the overseas students are just as bad as the local ones. he wants the quality of the local grads to be better than that of the overseas grads.
during the event, i played the minor role of door girl lol. i opened the door for him and the other VIPs during his grand entrance and exit. when he was leaving the auditorium, i opened the door for him and he unexpectedly asked me a few questions about myself. i was so thrilled having the chance to talk to him even though it was more of like exchanging pleasantries. everything went smoothly that night and so was the post mortem session. i wonder if there's any article about it since there were reporters present.

Allen Glenhill once told him that, "You can't remember things that you don't know".. which is very true indeed. if you can't remember something that means you don't know.

My first time ice-skating!

Shaz came over to our apartment in cyberjaya to stay for a few days. apparently staying at her house is very boring and makes her feel lonely. and i am of course more than happy to welcome her here. on her first day here, i took her to alamanda. that is the first time going there on my own. i went there many times but only drove there twice. luckily i managed. the first thing we did was going to GSC to check on the available movies. but we were so not in the mood for that eventhough we had the time for that. we had our late lunch at manhattan fish market and it was her treat! lol we spent more than 3 hours there yakking(catching up since we havent seen each other for 3 months!) and taking pictures. after realizing it was already dark outside (8.30 already!), we went to mph and they just got new stocks of twilight and new moon. We bought statutes and i bought Introduction to Industrial Relation Law of Malaysia by Wu Min Aun. oh and of course new moon too. i bought a carton of fruit punch and we went back. Luckily there were signboards after some time and we managed lol.

Last night some time after 12 just right after the add drop for 3rd level ended we went to Old Town and hanged out there for more than 2 hours. It sure does fun having Shaz around. =D

The three of us went to Sunway Pyramid today. we had our lunch at sakae sushi. this is definitely my fav. japanese restaurant. i never knew sunway pyramid has one. we went ice-skating with full stomach lol. it was our first time and shaz is definitely a fast leaner as she managed to glide very well and taught us how to do it. gosh i must be the biggest loser. many of them are first timers but they managed to glide well. i could barely move since i had a hard time balancing myself. i felt on my back twice and it hurt like hell. i was saved by this one girl twice. the second time i had 5 persons helping me including Shaz who fell down when she tried to pull me up. it was a great experience though. and i cant wait to play again lol. We wanted to catch a movie but we had to cancel that and immediately rush back home since Fitri was already in cyberjaya. he had a dota tournament somewhere in kl. his team lost on the second round though. if only dota can be a good career for him lol.

The Mines

My sister and I went to the Mines few days ago for O.P.I Feet Spa. It was great. My feet became much fairer and softer. My sister needed to do a quick fix so she had a haircut at a very unique saloon. they only provide hair trimming. They have a lot of rules that seems stricter then the rules in a library. One rule that caught my attention was a rule on no tipping. That's the first time I saw such a rule. They had four chairs near the entrance and it's clearly stated on the wall that they are meant for the the waiting patrons only. Luckily my sister was the only customer at that time so they didn't chase me out when i was sitting there waiting for my sister. rm15 for a 10 minutes haircut was perfect since we were rushing to catch a movie.
When we first arrived, we decided to watch a movie. I already had Incredible Hulk in mind. My sister gave us two options Hulk or Get Smart but of course I would choose the former. I had seen the I.Hulk trailer so I already had my expectations however since Shaz said it was not so nice so I told myself not to expect much. I am so glad the movie is every bit what I expected when I watched the trailer or maybe even slightly better than the trailer. I was so thankful that the trailer was not misleading. I am so buying the DVD! can't wait for it to come out. Edward Norton is familiar, maybe because he somehow reminds me of Shia Labeouf because i had never seen any of his movies before. Whatever it is, after watching the movie, I have come to like him.
They have made the right choice by giving Liv Tyler the role. She's so beautiful and I am very happy to see her again.

Shaz's short trip to Genting

Shaz texted me yesterday morning. She wanted me to guess where she was. I named three places; perhentian island, genting highland and her in-laws' house. She said it was genting and she was going there alone and that she's on a bus. she told me that it's crazy but i told her that's not crazy, that's worse than that. something that can't be described by word. apparently she got so bored and was also stressed that she decided to go to Genting yesterday morning. So we have been texting each other when she was on the way to Genting, when she was on the cable car. All the while I was with Aisha and Shermaine, having my lunch at the Penang House. She said she thinks Rz is kind of angry at her but I just told her that that is not possible and to not think to much about it. She didn't even tell her parents about it. When she got there she told me there were too many guys and she's scared and wished that she had never came. I told her to remain calm and act as if she's so used to the place and know what she's doing or where she's going and all. She didn't reply. When I got home, I took a long nap and didn't realize she message me after that. She said she watched The Incredible Hulk and didn't quite enjoy it. She said it's boring. I asked her whether or not it was possible that she didn't enjoy the movie because she was alone and stressed. She said that it was possible too and it was very cold in there. She went home right after the movie finishes. She is so daring. That is something I definitely can never do, at least not for now.

Just another day

I missed my last class today. I'm pretty sure my lecturer had given some tips for our final exam next Monday. We left the house more than 2 hours late which made me become very upset but I tried not to show it my sisters fearing Allyn might think it's her fault since we had to wait for her to get ready. So when I realized that I would be 45 minutes late I told Aisha to turn back since I don't think I can brave myself to enter the class after being so late. We went to Alamanda to have lunch. We ate at Manhattan Fish Market, its Allyn's and also my favourite restaurant. We ordered Manhattan Seafood Platter for two and dory fish with salads and some fried mushroom. Like always they tasted as excellent as they have always been. I went to MPH bookstore to find the two sequels of Twilight but unfortunately they were out of stock. ohh and we went to a toy store to look for Uno and 'Guess Who?' since we are already bored with 'Game of Life', Monopoly and Kludo. I haven't been to one for a long time. After a thorough discussion we ended up buying 'Who Is It?', the closest we could get to 'Guess Who?' as well as Uno, bingo and dartboard. I have always wanted to buy dart game since I was a kid but my dad wouldn't allow me to. Seeing how crazy they played just now finally made me understood why my dad wouldn't allow it lol. It's so very annoying and very noisy since they hung it at the door. and it's actually MY door!
They were a lot of games at the store that reminded me of myself as a kid and there were also a lot of new games that seemed complicated. (or maybe its not that complicated, merely requiring me to read the instruction, something I am very lazy to do.)
Allyn told us how happy she was to be there with us
as we were leaving the mall. I was so glad to hear that. That means she's having fun and would probably like to stay with us again in the future. =D Living together with Aisha, just the two of us is fun but like they always say, 'the more the merrier'. Luckily Fitri will be staying with us at the Cyberjaya home after he finishes his pre-uni(they call it Alpha or foundation or something) next semester.

Twilight

My sister really likes this book and recommended it to me. it's a teen flick. not something that I normally read but I gave it a try and so far I really enjoy the book. it's about high school teenagers, love and vampires. it's a first person point of view. from the view of Isabella Swan. The style of writing is not really my kind but like I said I am enjoying it. a movie has been made based on this book and it will be in the cinema on 12 December this year. I'm really looking forward to the movie and I am hoping that it will not be disappointing. I have never seen Catherine Hardwicke's previous work but from the reviews that I have read on the movies she had previously directed, they are rather positive and are given high ratings too. I watched the videos on youtube that are related to this book and the movie, all of them are fan made except one and that is the official teaser of the movie. Found two videos that I really like, one is the teaser and the other is a fanmade trailer which is the winner of a twilight trailer contest. I prefer the latter though since the former is rather misleading despite the fact that it's the official one. how ironic, I know.

I am very happy with the casts they have selected especially with the Cullens since the Cullens family as described in the book is very special.

My Caspian Prince

The second day the new Narnia movie was showing in Malaysia, i went to see it with my sister. I was mesmerized to see the prince and i realized but couldn't stop myself from beaming at the screen every time the prince appears on the screen. he looks different and much better looking from the official movie poster. he kind of reminds me of Bree's good looking second husband in Desperate Housewives. they look very similar except for he's the younger and more fresh looking version lol. nevertheless, both of them are handsome period. I was enjoying the movie the whole time except in the middle of the movie i really had to pee and unfortunately we were seated at the third row from behind and in the middle. So I had to pass through a few patrons and almost fell on one of them. I blamed myself for drinking the whole bottle of mineral water while waiting for the movie to start. Alright so back to the movie. Even though the fighting scenes sometimes remind me of Lord of The Ring movies and despite the fact that there are not few mistakes and ironies here and there which is quite obvious, it is still in my opinion a great movie. I would definitely watch it again! So i would give it 4.7 out of 5. Towards the end it seems like there's a continuation which I am very much looking forward to. xD

EDIT: I have just checked imdb.com and so glad to see that the third Narnia movie that is 'The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" is expected to be in the cinema in 2010. It's status as stated there is pre-production. The best part of all is that Ben Barnes aka Prince Caspian will be starring in the movie again!

Women Murder Club

I watched the show yesterday. the title caught my attention. i love the casts in the show. they are cool and gorgeous. it's great to see women in control sometimes lol. the story revolves around four beautiful women from different interconnected job scopes. the one i watched yesterday was about the death of Theresa Woo, a reporter. there are times lindsay boxer, the main character got emotional which is fun to see. apart from investigating, their personal lives too are mixed into the one hour episode which is just fantastic and far from boring. even though there are already a lot of murder investigations and the likes kind of tv shows but this one is unique and amazingly different in its own ways. i would love to watch more episodes. i hope they gonna continue with second season. it's actually based on a series of novels by james patterson! i never knew of this. i hv always loved james patterson's books. by the way, my favourite characters are lindsay and jill(the hot blonde).

Btw, they are showing it every Tuesday 11 pm on TV2.

appreciating others

i had always see myself as a nice person. i always thought i am a caring and loving person. thoughtful and kind. but the things is i am not. i take things for granted excessively. the best example would be my 'kindness' towards my family especially towards my mum. indeed i am aware of the fact that she carried me for nine months, went through a lot of pain and not to mention risking her life giving birth to me and has raised me until i become what i am today. but like most people out there i seem to ignore this fact and continue to mistreat my mum. i love her so much but she's the only person whom i get angry so very easily over the little things she does or say. this is due to the fact that i know no matter how far i would go in mistreating her, she would always forgive me and accept me and be there for me. but then of course, shes my mum! this morning my mum went to see me before leaving for work. she woke me up and said a few things to me since she would be at work when i leave home for kl later in the day. and then i suddenly remembered that last night she said that she want me, fitri and aishah to send her off to work. i tried to fight my sleepiness and asked alin who was about to sleep about it. she treated me like i was crazy. i started crying quietly thinking that we never know when is the last time we see someone. like my mum who didnt get to see her mother, my grandma for the last time before my grandma passed away. im not saying one of us was going to die although we will one day. but we never know when that day is. so at that time realizing this, i went downstairs quickly and went outside hoping that my mother still hadnt left. she was already in the car and kak ne was sending her off. you see, kak ne is always there for her so its not a wonder if my mum loves kak ne. my eyes were red but i hope they all saw it as the taste of slumber. she was like "wow, you really love me". i didnt say anything and only gave signals using my arms. at that time i was partly relieved and went back to alin's room and lied next to her. but at time i was already crying really badly. that had of course alarmed alin and she repeatly asking me why i was crying but i kept quiet and she got fed up with me and went back to sleep. I really love my mum. Happy Mother's day~

P.S. i have been very emotional lately.

This is madness

AMSTETTEN, Austria (Reuters) - A 73-year-old Austrian electrical engineer has confessed to holding his daughter captive in a secret, windowless cellar for 24 years and fathering seven children by her, police said on Monday.

Some parts of the 60 square metre basement in which the family were kept were no more than 1.70 metres (5 ft 6 in) high and officials said the basement even contained a padded cell.

Elisabeth Fritzl, 42, says her father, Josef Fritzl, lured her into the basement in 1984 and drugged and handcuffed her before imprisoning her.
Three of her children, aged 19, 18 and 5, had been locked up in the basement with her since birth and had never seen sunlight, police said, raising worries about their physical and mental state. The younger two were boys, the eldest a girl.

Fritzl, whom police described as "dynamic, bossy and authoritarian", had hidden the entrance to the cell behind shelves and only he knew the secret code for the reinforced concrete door, said officials.Photographs showed a narrow passageway leading into other rooms which included a cooking area, with children's drawings on the walls, a sleeping area and a small bathroom with a shower. The victims' only sources of information from the outside world were a television and radio. The case unfolded when the 19-year-old girl became seriously ill and was taken to hospital, where doctors appealed for her mother to come forward to give details of her medical history.

Fritzl brought Elisabeth and her remaining two children out of the basement, telling his wife their "missing" daughter had chosen to return home, police said."This man, who already had a family with seven children by his wife, had in this cellar seven more children by his own daughter." Police have said they believe Rosemarie did not know what happened to her daughter when she disappeared in 1984. It was assumed Elisabeth had left voluntarily when her parents received a letter from her saying they should not search for her.

Damn. what a complete psycho. to think that the mother had never known is almost impossible since they had been living in the same house all along. but if she's innocent then it must came as a shock to the mother. poor girl and all her children. everything is so messed up. whatever it is, I'm glad they are free. hopefully they'll have a better life from now on.

My first pay cheque!

hee i'm so happy! today at the office, when i was at the counter doing some work, kak su came to me bringing a file with two small pieces of white paper on top of it. she told me to sign on both papers. i was like wtf? i thought it's just some unimportant papers that needed signatures for formalities purposes. so i signed on them without even checking what's written on them. then she gave me one of the white papers and suddenly i realized she was actually holding out 3 pieces of rm50 notes to me along with it. now at this time i was really shocked. she told me it was my allowance. i couldn't believe her at first. i thought, man she can't be serious! who would give allowance to someone who come to get free knowledge? by right, i should be paying them instead lol. after i was given adequate reassurances(she told me to have a closer look and guess what? my name was written on it!) i took the money and one of the white papers. i was so glad and most importantly touched. i went to see mr. Bob immediately and thanked him. :D wow.. not only that I get free lunch and tea and not to forget a lot of valuable knowledge about criminal law by doing my attachment here, i get paid too! oh and a small birthday party for me at the office the other day and one parker pen as birthday gift from mr. Bob. =) this is too good to be true. now this is scary. am i not too lucky?

Mat Rempit

"KUANTAN: Two years ago, a Mat Rempit beat three traffic lights, made a wrong U-turn and rode his motorcycle against the traffic flow before he was finally arrested by police.

For his reckless riding, 23-year-old Mohd Azlin Fazleey Rusli was sentenced to 20 months' jail and fined RM5,000 or eight months' jail.

Magistrate G. Ramesh ordered the sentence to begin yesterday and suspended Mohd Azlin's riding licence for two years."

read more here

This is the case whose sentencing i attended. it was last week. it's not accurately reported. you see, the thing is that he's not a mat rempit or at least in my opinion he's not. he is merely an ordinary road user who had committed traffic offences. a mat rempit more of the one who does illegal racing or dangerous stunts on the road like the guy who was sentenced to two years imprisonment for doing a 'superman' stunt on the road last week. of course the term mat rempit is not exhaustive but still in my opinion by doing what he did does not make him a mat rempit. it is too harsh to call him that since people have very ugly perceptions towards mat rempits.

the mother was very sad and was crying her eyes out outside the courtroom. but then again who wouldn't? your eldest sons had just been sentenced to 20 months jail. he seemed to be a very nice boy who is the sole breadwinner of the family. her husband died 8 years ago when the boy was only 15 years old.

Amazing Grace

It's past midnight.. and I'm damn bored. waiting for the downloading to finish seems like forever. 96.1% already but this is killing me. amazing grace is a 2006 movie but being a person who is always behind it seems so natural for me lol. as i write this it is already 96.3%. yeah i can wait for another half an hour.. sure why not. thank god tomorrow is Sunday. luckily this attachment is only for 3 weeks. imagine it's for 2 months i would be a super fat cow when it's over since they always feed me(i'm not complaining). 96.9% thats great. damn i have to sleep early tonight. although i am not working tomorrow but i promised my mum I'll go out with her. besides i need to see the dentist tomorrow and get facial treatment from dermalogica since I'll get 50% off in my birthday month. u think it's cheap? i would rather call it smart spending lol. yeah so the next facial after tomorrow would be next year. =P

My brother been telling me about this one melodic death metal band, Arch Enemy. comprised of five members. the vocalist is a female who does the growling waaay better than most male vocalists. finally, i get(finally remember) to check them out. I watched four of their videos on youtube and i am very impressed. Angela Gossow is one of a kind.
